NaughtyBear Labs provides Pig Latin for Android and iPhone. Translation works entirely on your device, without an app account or an internet connection. Ads, purchases, purchase restoration and online privacy pages require an internet connection.
Text that you type or paste is processed only on your device to create a translation. We do not collect, transmit, store on our servers, sell, or share that text.
The app keeps preferences and ad-removal status locally. Your current draft may be retained by the operating system to restore the app's screen. Clear removes the current draft from the interface. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes local app data; device backups may retain copies according to your platform settings. We do not operate a cloud translation or draft-storage service.
The free version shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob. Google's SDK processes advertising-related information such as IP address (which may indicate approximate location), app and ad interactions, device or app-scoped identifiers, and crash and performance diagnostics. Google uses this information to provide and measure ads, analyse performance and prevent fraud, and may share it with advertising partners. We have not added a separate app analytics service. Google's User Messaging Platform manages applicable regional consent and privacy choices. Where required, the app shows a consent message before requesting ads that require consent. When regional privacy options are available, you can revisit them in Settings. Advertising data use depends on your location, choices and device settings.
The iPhone version requests non-personalised ads, disables Google's publisher first-party ID, and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission or access to the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA). Non-personalised ads still involve the other advertising and diagnostic data described above. Android advertising controls, including resetting or deleting your advertising ID, are available in your device's Google/Ads settings.
The optional one-time Remove Ads purchase is processed by Google Play Billing on Android or Apple's StoreKit on iPhone. We do not receive your card or bank details. The app receives purchase status and transaction information from the store, verifies ownership, and remembers ad removal locally. We do not upload purchase receipts to a NaughtyBear Labs server.
An active ad-removal entitlement stops future ad requests; it does not delete data previously processed by Google. Use Restore purchases with the same store account to restore this purchase. Purchases do not transfer between Google Play and the App Store. Refunds and payment history are managed by the store where you purchased. Apple and Google retain transaction records under their own policies.
The iOS TestFlight version uses Google's sample ads and sandbox purchases. Sandbox purchases do not charge real money. Apple handles TestFlight participation and diagnostics under Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you choose Copy, the translated text is placed on your device's system clipboard. This happens only after you tap the Copy button. Your device and any apps that can access its clipboard are governed by their own settings and privacy practices; you can clear the clipboard using your device controls.
Paste reads text only when you use the paste control. Share passes your chosen translation to the sharing service you select, which handles it under its own privacy policy. The app does not read your contacts or send messages automatically.
Pig Latin is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Because the app shows ads, it is not enrolled in Google Play's Designed for Families program. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children ourselves; ad-related data is collected by Google's advertising services as described above.
If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated before those changes take effect.

You can request access to or deletion of information we control. Google's information retention and privacy controls are described in Google's retention policy; deleting local app data does not delete Google's records.
